- IS 10987: 1993 (Reaffirmed 2003) Code of practice for Design, Fabrication, Testing and Installation of Under-ground/Above-ground Horizontal Cylindrical steel storage tanks for petroleum products
- The Petroleum Act, 1934 (30 of 1934) with
- The Petroleum Rules, 2002 and
- The Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board Act, 2006 (19 of 2006)
- The Inflammable Substances Act, 1952 (20 of 1952)
